yea im not too good when it comes to technical terms with illustrator or photoshop, but if u mean the outline for the character, all i did was outlined the lines and filled then in. as for the chair i created the shape, had the line width to a certain size then outlined the stroke using the outline option. i hope this helps, oh and i was using adobe illustrator cs3, dont think i mentioned that in my comment.
